主要從事熱帶海洋環(huán)流動(dòng)力學(xué)與季風(fēng)-海洋相互作用的觀測(cè)研究工作,先后主持各類縱向項(xiàng)目10余項(xiàng),發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文30余篇。針對(duì)澳大利亞夏季風(fēng)爆發(fā)過程,提出了一個(gè)新的夏季風(fēng)爆發(fā)海氣相互作用理論框架,即局地SST最大值、第一支東傳MJO與夏季風(fēng)西風(fēng)建立的位相鎖定,并進(jìn)一步闡明了在澳大利亞夏季風(fēng)期間,MJO抑制位相向活躍位相轉(zhuǎn)換階段SST的日變化特征、機(jī)制及其氣候影響;揭示了熱帶印度洋Wyrtki急流季節(jié)內(nèi)與年際變異的時(shí)空演變特征及動(dòng)力機(jī)制。
